Al Bahie held the Equine Art Auction at Katara International Arabian Horse Festival

AlBahie Auction House recently held the “Al Aseel – Equine Art” auction for the first time at Katara International Arabian Horse Festival. The festival was organized under the patronage of HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ,Katara , Qatar Equestrian Federation, Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, and Qatar Foundation.

The auction comprised major works by renowned international equine artists, brought together for the very first time. It was led by an exquisite bronze sculpture by distinguished 19th century French sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye, whose works are in prominent collections and museums around the world including the Met, the Louvre, and the National Gallery in London.

AlBahie also presented outstanding examples of equine art by Shary Akers, Ruben Bustillo, Ilyas Phaizulline, Ali Al Mimar, and Roby Baer. AlBahie successfully sparked strong interest among local and international collectors, given the importance of Arabian horses in Qatari cultural heritage, and the enthusiasm people have for collecting equine art in Qatar.
